Since 1939, the Junior League of Springfield (JLS) has contributed over one million volunteer service hours and one million dollars directly benefiting the Springfield community. Through its efforts, JLS was key in helping establish Lincoln’s Home as a National Historic Site in 1971.
This organization is unique in its mission. “Women can join and receive volunteer training and experience to develop their civic leadership skills. From the start, our members are provided a variety of places to volunteer and engage in the community,” says Marissa DeWeese, current President of the Junior League of Springfield.
