Lincoln Land Community College is offering special assistance to students of MacMurray College displaced by Friday’s announcement of MacMurray’s closure at the end of spring semester.
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the closure of this longstanding institution located within the LLCC district,” said Charlotte Warren, Ph.D., president of LLCC. “We invite any MacMurray student to contact us for personalized assistance in continuing their education at LLCC.”
MacMurray students are encouraged to email Mac2LLCC@llcc.edu, call 217-786-9600 or text 217-387-3342. Staff from the LLCC Outreach Center in downtown Jacksonville and the main campus in Springfield are ready to help students who wish to continue their education through the sophomore level or in a career education program, in such fields as nursing, criminal justice, business, education and many more.
LLCC personnel will work one-on-one with MacMurray students in exploring affordable transfer options for the upcoming summer and fall terms and answer questions about financial aid and transcripts.
LLCC will also offer in-district tuition rates to MacMurray students, regardless of their home addresses. In-district tuition is $131.50 per credit hour for summer term and $133.00 per credit hour for the fall semester. Some LLCC programs have variable tuition rates.
