Performing arts and history take center stage as the Hoogland Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a special event for the Bicentennial Series, Hamilton and History on September 6 at 6:30 pm at the Old State Capitol.
The evening will feature New York Times bestselling author Jeremy McCarter. McCarter is the coauthor of the #1 New York Times bestseller Hamilton: The Revolution with Lin-Manuel Miranda. He is the storyteller of record for the genre-defying cultural phenomenon that is Hamilton. His newest book, Young Radicals, is about idealists fighting for freedom and equality in the early twentieth century. A common thread in McCarter’s work is the power of storytelling to create change—from our country’s rebellious founders to the dreamers of the Progressive Era to the modern-day musical that has proven to be a once-in-a-generation cultural coup.
