Simply the best! Concordia Village, a Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) Life Plan Community in Springfield, Illinois, recently learned that they earned a “Best” rating in the 2023-24 U.S. News & World Report Best Senior Living analysis for Independent Living and Assisted Living.
Concordia Village is honored to receive this recognition as only 43% of the nearly 4,000 communities that U.S. News evaluated earned a “Best” rating.
The ratings are based on confidential data collected through a resident and family satisfaction survey that rated the things that matter most – the kindness of staff, variety of activities, quality of the food and dining experience, whether local transportation is provided, the quality of on-site caregiving, and more. The top-rated communities for each type of care received the “Best Senior Living” designation.
“These designations are even more meaningful because they are based on real feedback from the people who we are proud to serve,” said Jacque Bogner, Concordia Village Executive Director. “This achievement is a benchmark for Concordia Village. We will continue to uphold the qualities that earned ‘Best,’ and explore how we can continue to create places, services, and opportunities for people to age well with purpose and fulfillment.”
The survey responses showed that residents enjoy amenities like a movie theater, indoor pool, fitness center, and full-service restaurant-style dining. The caring team members who provide support were also rated highly.

Their hard work, caring, and dedication is directly reflected in these ratings,” said Bogner. “Meeting the needs and preferences of older adults and supporting them as they continue to seek purpose and fulfillment is how we live out our mission of Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest here at Concordia Village.”
