What I love about Brooms are the rows of pick your own apples, than run as far as the eye can see. Each varietal available on different weekends. They also have a pick your own pumpkin patch. Not the pumpkins that are just scattered along the farm but you actually have to cut these pumpkins off the vine. They have amazing apple cider and other goodies like homemade apple butter and fruit jams.
I highly recommend stopping at the Square in Carlinville when you’re there! We had pizza at ‘Reno‘s’, did a little shopping at ‘My sisters closet’ for the kids and perused the antique shops. All in all, it made for a glorious early autumn afternoon!
