The Route 66 Film Festival Board of Directors recently welcomed two new Directors-at-Large to the 2018 Festival Board, Laura Kay Coffey and Scott Stahlman, both of Springfield, Illinois. Other board members include: Siobhan Johnson of Dawson Illinois, Festival Director; Théa Chesley, Christine Samoore, and Crissie Trigger, all of Springfield, Illinois, and Lana Wildman of Williamsville, Illinois.

The 17th annual Route 66 Film Festival is scheduled for November 2-3, 2018 at Capital City Bar & Grill, 3145 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, Illinois 62703 which has hosted the single Friday evening and three Saturday sessions since 2013. Reviewers are currently screening film submissions for the festival from the United States and 9 other countries. Many filmmakers attend the festival to showcase their films – and to socialize with audience members at receptions following the two evening sessions. Tickets, for admission to any session, will be available online beginning September 1: $10 each or 4

Additional film screenings are planned on August 23 and 30 and October 31. Information will be communicated as soon as details are confirmed. The Route 66 Film Festival is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization celebrating its 17th year of introducing Illinois audiences to independent films from around the world. The Festival invites Springfield area businesses to sponsor the festival, and residents interested in film, event planning non-profit management, web design or social media,
