The Illinois Symphony Orchestra and Illinois Symphony Youth Orchestras hosted their lively annual Gala on April 26 at the Abraham Lincoln DoubleTree Hotel. Guests gathered for an evening filled with music, dancing, and celebration in support of the ISO’s ongoing mission to deliver outstanding live performances and educational programs to the community. Embracing a spirited ‘70s theme, the Gala featured a night of bell bottoms, boogie, and musical talent that showcased the versatility of ISO and ISYO musicians. The event also honored longtime supporters Richard and Phyllis Cheaney and Wilma Beatty for their decades of dedication. Attendees enjoyed silent and live auctions, games, and the inspirational “Fund the Music” campaign — all to ensure that the next 30 years of symphonic excellence are as vibrant as the last.
