“Friday Night Jazz & Blues” is a renewed program that began as “Uptown Friday Night” and was revitalized in 2021 under a new moniker. This year-round series of jazz and blues concerts features area bands and is held at Boone’s, located at 301 West Edwards Street, Springfield, IL, every Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. “Friday Night Jazz & Blues” is free, accessible, and family friendly. Food and beverage are available for purchase.
In conjunction with “Friday Night Jazz & Blues,” the Springfield Area Arts Council hosts a 50/50 raffle for audience members to participate in. Raffle proceeds help fund this program. This is a cash-only raffle. Winners receive half of the money collected, are called during intermission, and must be in attendance to win.
The Springfield Area Arts Council is located in the Hoogland Center for the Arts, 420 South 6th Street, Springfield, IL. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. For more information and future events, visit our website.
