Stratten to speak at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre on Thursday, April 28, 2022

Dozens of Springfield business leaders will be joining together for a night of networking and learning on Thursday, April 28 to hear best-selling author and business coach Scott Stratten speak. The event will take place at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by a business networking cocktail hour and book signing opportunity which lasts until 6:30 p.m.

The event, which has been organized by the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance (SSGA) and sponsored by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Mid-West Family Springfield, is designed to offer business executives and employees practical and humorous advice on how to grow your business.

“We felt like this would be an excellent opportunity to bring the Springfield business community together for an event that is beneficial and entertaining to everyone,” said SSGA CEO Ryan McCrady. “There are many Fortune 500 companies that have taken Scott Stratten’s advice but so much of the information he’s providing can apply to any business. Our goal at SSGA is always to create business tools for growth, so this was an opportunity we didn’t want to miss.”

Community leaders from companies such as Memorial Health, Bank of Springfield, LRS, HSHS, O’Shea Builders, Horace Mann and Springfield School District 186 will be attending the event. SSGA Marketing and Communications Director Shelley Tulo said while the businesses attending may come from completely different industries, the lessons will be applicable to everyone.

“Scott Stratten has this incredible ability to take all the business processes and strategies that we make complex and make you see them in a really simple, direct way that sticks with you,” said Tulo. “When he’s done speaking, I always feel like common sense has prevailed and I’ve seen a very funny comedy show.”

The event, called “UnMarketing: Everything Has Changed and Nothing is Different” will include a 45-minute speaker session, and a 15-minute Q&A, followed by a cocktail reception and book signing opportunity. The event takes place at Wyndham Springfield City Centre, located at 700 E. Adams Street, Springfield, IL. The cost is $35 per person and registration spots are still available for anyone interested in attending. To register or learn more, go to www.thriveinspi.org.
