Brenda Elliott, from Chatham, has joined Lincoln Land Community College as director of apprenticeship programming. She began her new duties July 1.
“The director of apprenticeship programming is a new role at the college focused on helping to prepare students for work in high-demand fields through the development of apprenticeship partnerships. These partnerships will be with local employers, helping them meet their staffing needs,” explains Jason Dockter, Ph.D., associate vice president of academic services at LLCC.
Elliott previously worked at Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Springfield where she served as customer relationship database manager and business development specialist. She also previously served as the computer training division director of the Millikin Institute in Decatur. She has more than 30 years of experience in marketing/business development activities, project management, computer CRM database management, computer training management, software training and event planning.
“Brenda Elliott brings great experience to this position,” adds Dr. Dockter. “With her leadership, we look forward to growing the apprenticeship opportunities available to LLCC students.”
Elliott earned a bachelor’s degree in business/marketing from Millikin University.
